Loved this! It's what I tell my Tai Chi students. A solid understanding of the basics and a lot of practice until muscle memory guides the moves so that one doesn't have to think about the nuts & bolts of how to execute each move, and can instead enjoy the energy flow. Now, I just need to apply the same process on my writing journey! ;)
Great advice about focusing on basics! They are the foundation for any activity we pursue. If only I could bring myself to practise scales before playing my piano pieces. Maybe just start with Praeludium every time.

The problem with me is that sometimes I get impatient! I guess nurturing my patience is another learning skill I need to hone.
